Keynote Speakers
Grant Sanderson is the creator and host of the popular YouTube channel 3Blue1Brown. Reaching over 8 million subscribers, the channel offers a unique animated approach to visualizing mathematics and related topics in computer science and physics. After studying math and CS at Stanford, Sanderson initially worked for Khan Academy before focusing full-time on his channel. He also created the open-source Python library Manim to power the visuals for the videos, which is now used by thousands of others to create their own mathematical animations.
Dr. Talithia Williams is the first Black woman to achieve tenure at Harvey Mudd and a renowned STEM advocate who demystifies complex concepts through her work as a PBS host, author, and speaker. Her distinguished career spans research for NASA and the NSA, driven by a mission to "breathe life" into mathematics while empowering communities to embrace the transformative power of data.
Tadashi Tokieda is a professor at Stanford University. He grew up as a painter in Japan, became a classical philologist (not to be confused with philosopher) in France and, having earned a PhD in pure mathematics from Princeton, has been an applied mathematician around the world. He is active in outreach, especially via the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) as well as the YouTube channel Numberphile. Tokieda delivered a public lecture at the 2018 ICM then at the 2022 ICM, and is an invited speaker at the 2026 ICM in Philadelphia this July.
