The SwissMAP Research Station hosts the MATRIX × IMAGINARY joint conference on the future of mathematics engagement.

Discover innovations in math museums, exhibitions, new formats, technologies, and inspiring ideas!

If you work with a math museum or want to create one; if you design, create, or operate math exhibits; or if you are involved or want to be involved in math outreach or creative math programming, then this is the conference for you!

Join us for four days of sharing, networking, and learning (plus an amazing glacier walk with views of natural formations and sweeping vistas).

  • A panorama of new math museums.
  • Panels on funding and accessibility.
  • Award Ceremony for the first winner of the EMS Simon Norton Prize for Mathematics Outreach.
  • Lightning talks by participants.

Math festival in Geneva

If you're traveling through Geneva, consider joining us for the second edition of the Math'émerveille mathematics festival!

It will take place right after the conference, on September 5 (a holiday in Geneva), in the beautiful La Perle du Lac park, right by the lake.

If you're showcasing something at the conference, bring it to the festival as well! We can provide a booth and a free one-night stay in the city if you stay until Friday 6. Students can assist with translations if needed, plus your contribution will be woven into an awesome math treasure hunt.

Meet us in the Swiss Alps!
